Materials Used: A hybrid construction of 100% authentic Donegal tweed and upcycled denim sourced from unsold inventory, natural cotton filling (for cord volume), and a vintage men's leather belt.

Techniques Used: Hand-fabricated braided cordage, modular braided textile system, manual shaping and assembly.

The Braided Hybrid Bag (System II) transforms discarded remnants of authentic Donegal tweed and salvaged denim into a structured, contemporary statement accessory. At the core of the piece is a meticulous, repetitive hand-braiding process that converts textile waste into a stable, three-dimensional, and functional form. Each bag combines Ireland’s rich weaving heritage with progressive sustainable design, utilizing a vintage men's belt as a structural element, resulting in a tactile, long-lasting art object.
